the Sybil and Stanley Gertz Endowed Scholarship

Application for the scholarship is open to students majoring in Secondary Education who will be Sophomores, juniors or seniors in The University of Akron’s College of Education, with preference given to students from Summit County. Scholarship recipients must maintain at least a 2.75 grade point average. Students may apply for renewal of the award provided the grade point level is maintained. Selection will be made by the Dean of the College of Education or appropriate designee.
