The CESO, Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship

The CESO, Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship was established in 2020 in recognition of The University of Akron’s 150th Sesquicentennial Anniversary to support civil engineering students.

CESO, Inc., is a comprehensive engineering, architectural, survey, construction management, and environmental firm, providing clients with multi-disciplined engineering services. Established in 1987 with a staff of three, CESO has evolved into a national, diversified firm with more than 100 design and construction professionals. The CESO organization prides itself on quality of education, diversity of experience and background, and the ability to work with people and projects throughout the United States.

CESO teams are supported with an internal construction services division, which allows CESO to offer design and consulting services, as well as total program management, from initial planning stages through project completion. By offering a single source of responsibility, CESO has developed a reputation in the consulting field as professionals who follow a program approach to project development.

The CESO, Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship shall be awarded annually, as funds are available, to deserving full-time civil engineering co-op undergraduate students at The University of Akron. Selection will be based on performance, work ethic, need for financial support and determination to establish a civil engineering career. Students with a minimum 3.0 GPA may be selected to receive the scholarship. First consideration will be given to students who have completed or plan to complete a co-op with CESO.

CESO will review scholarship applications and make recommendations to the College of Engineering for final selection.
