The College of Engineering and Polymer Science Student Assistance Fund was created to provide emergency funding to students when unexpected events threaten to disrupt or prevent a student’s educational pursuit. Awards may be used for tuition, fees, room and board. You must have an outstanding UA bill to qualify for this emergency assistance.

To be eligible for the CEPS Student Assistance Fund students must:

  • be pursuing a full-time degree in the College of Engineering and Polymer Science
  • be in good academic standing, with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Students must carefully demonstrate need for the amount they request. Please note that no student can receive more than $1000 during their lifetime enrollment at UA from the CEPS Student Assistance Fund.

If you need assistance with other kinds of expenses, or need non-financial support, go to the Help-A-Zip program page (www.uakron.edu/referral) to review the kinds of assistance available, and use the I need help button to completed a Help-A-Zip form. That will connect you to various kinds of support, including UA’s Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund (SEFA).
