the Adolph Korzeniewski Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Adolph Korzeniewski Endowed Scholarship Fund shall provide annual scholarships to one or more qualified graduates of Kenmore-Garfield High School (formerly known as Garfield High School) pursuing a bachelor’s degree at The University of Akron. Should Kenmore-Garfield High School no longer exist, scholarships will be directed to students from any of the high schools in the Akron Public Schools. Selection of the scholarship recipient(s) will be determined by The University of Akron’s Office of Student Financial Aid in consultation with Kenmore-Garfield High School guidance counselors and/or principal as needed. Scholarships are applied directly to a student’s account for use for tuition and fees. Applicants also must: *demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid * enter the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better * be enrolled as a full-time student * be an exemplary role model for other students. Scholarships are renewable if the student recipient maintains all requirements and is in good standing with The University of Akron.
