The Raj and Archana Makam Endowed Scholarship was established in February 2015 and revised in June 2019, when Raj and Archana Makam endowed the scholarship. The scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Raj Makam’s legacy and pride of his alma mater, The University of Akron.

Award amounts may vary, depending on the availability of funds. The recipient will have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
In addition to the above criteria, a selection committee from the College of Engineering will consider students based on socioeconomic factors and demonstration of an exceptional work ethic.
