the Geography and Planning Alumni Fund

The Department of Geography and Planning Alumni Fund provides support for graduate and undergraduate student activities outside of the classroom context and for department sponsored student-centered events. The fund is designed to provide financial assistance for travel to professional conferences, attendance at workshops, participation in field trips, and other similar activities for Department of Geography and Planning students enrolled at The University of Akron. ln addition, the fund may be used to support other student-centered events and activites sponsored by the department, including but not limited to graduation receptions, student recognition ceremonies, and other events. As these funds become available, the Chair of the Department of Geography and Planning will select the student recipient(s) and the student­centered activities for which these funds may be expended.
