the Dr. Robert and Mrs. Sharon S. Gandee Scholarship in Excercise Physiology

The Dr. Robert and Mrs. Sharon S. Gandee Award in Exercise Physiology is to provide support for a deserving full or a part-time undergraduate or graduate student in The University of Akron’s School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences majoring in Exercise Physiology. Recipients shall have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA). First consideration shall be given to students who are presenting research at conferences and/or are performing research in the Exercise Physiology laboratory. The award may be used for event registration fees, travel costs, or costs associated with conducting research, and may be reportable and/or taxable to the recipient. The award may also be used as a scholarship and applied directly to the recipient’s student account. Recipients and award amounts shall be determined only by the Director of the Exercise Physiology Laboratory.
