Fern Murphy-Victor Endowed Scholarship

The Fern Murphy-Victor Endowed Scholarship was established by the family of Mrs. Murphy-Victor in her memory. Mrs. Victor was a lifetime resident of Akron, graduated from Kenmore High School, and attended The University of Akron. Fern was a member of First Grace United Church of Christ, Akron Woman’s City Club, National Secretaries Association, and the YWCA Board. She was the past president of the Akron Bar Auxiliary. The Fern Murphy-Victor Scholarship recipient will be of junior or senior status, enrolled in the College of Business Administration at The University of Akron, and will be chosen by the College of Business Administration dean’s office, with influence from Mrs. Myrna Rea, daughter of Mrs. Murphy-Victor. The recipient will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and provide a letter of recommendation that exhibits the recipient’s high moral character. Preference will be given to female applicants.
