Westfield Insurance Scholarship in Risk Management and Insurance was established in April 2018 as a non-endowed fund to offer financial support to University of Akron College of Business Administration (CBA) students preparing for careers in risk management and insurance.

Westfield considers it important to reward scholars in finance, risk management and insurance. Through students hard work, they will strengthen their knowledge in these areas while preparing for careers helping others protect their businesses and families future.
Students eligible for the Westfield Insurance Scholarship in Risk Management and Insurance must:
be enrolled full-time in UA’s College of Business Administration;
be a Risk Management and Insurance major;
have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher;
provide a one-page essay on why they have chosen to pursue Risk Management and Insurance as a career path and what their plans are to become successful in the field; and
complete a scholarship application
Recipient selection and scholarship amounts will be determined annually by the Department of Finance Scholarship Committee and the CBA Scholarship Committee. The scholarship may be renewed at the discretion of the chair of the Department of Finance or their designee(s).
