Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua Scholarship in Accounting
The Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua Scholarship in Accounting was created in December 2006. Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua are both proud graduates of The University of Akron. Frank received a B.A. in mathematics and an MBA in 1972, and Marie received a master’s degree in elementary education in 1974. Frank is president of Winer and Bevilacqua, an accounting firm in Akron. Marie taught elementary school in Akron and later taught religious school at St. Hilary. The Bevilacquas have three grown children. The Bevilacquas are strong believers in education and in giving back to their University and to their community. Recipients of The Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua Scholarship in Accounting must be enrolled in the College of Business, majoring in accounting. They must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 and be Ohio residents with demonstrated financial need. Recipients must be entering their Junior year & the scholarship will be renewed for their senior year if they continue to meet other criteria. Decisions shall be made by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
