David M. Grubb Endowed Scholarship
David M. Grubb earned two degrees from The University of Akron College of Business Administration, a BSIM in 1977 and an MBA in 1979. Upon graduating from the University, Mr. Grubb went to work for the consulting division of Arthur Andersen, which later became Accenture. Mr. Grubb ascended through the ranks to achieve partner status, and at the time this scholarship was created, he had been with the company for 23 years. Mr. Grubb’s days at The University of Akron prepared him well for the challenges of business. Practical experiences in the classroom and dedicated professors gave him the foundation necessary to succeed in a highly demanding and competitive field. It is Mr. Grubb’s wish that The David M. Grubb Endowed Scholarship benefit undergraduate or graduate students in the management program with a demonstrated history of high academic achievement. Students are eligible to renew the scholarship as long as they are enrolled at The University of Akron and continue to maintain the same standards of academic achievement that initially qualified them for the scholarship.
