The Doris S. Aldrich Endowed Leadership Award and Scholarship

Faculty, friends, and students established The Doris S. Aldrich Endowed Leadership Award and Scholarship in 1989 to honor Professor Emeritus Doris Aldrich for her outstanding contribution in the area of dietetics, and in particular, the Coordinated Undergraduate Program which was developed in 1975. The award is presented annually to an outstanding junior or senior in dietetics, with preference given to students with a high GPA and who have demonstrated leadership skills. The engraved plaque is displayed in the School’s office, and the scholarship is based on the size of the growing endowment. Selection of recipients is made by the School of Home Economics and Family Ecology’s* dietetic faculty in concert with the Office of Student Financial Aid and Employment.
