Staci Ann Schoeppner Memorial Scholarship in Accounting
The Staci Ann Schoeppner Memorial Scholarship in Accounting was established in memory of Staci Ann Schoeppner, class of 1993, by her family. Staci was a warm, friendly person who possessed an intense curiosity about the world around her and a never-ending willingness to help others. She set high goals for herself and knew no limitations. Staci was active in R.H.P.B. and served as her hall treasurer. She was also an active member of the Accounting Association, where she served as director of career sessions. Staci received the Outstanding Senior Award from the Accounting Association and Senior Recognition from The University of Akron prior to graduating from the University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Upon graduating, she began to work with the auditing department of Payless Shoe Source, where she had worked while she was studying at the University. Staci was a 1988 graduate of Perry High School, where she became a member of The National Honor Society in her junior year. She was an active member of the marching, concert and symphonic Bands, received Medals of Excellence in solo and ensemble performances, received an Award for Language (Spanish), and was published in WHO’S WHO. She also received the Girl Scout Silver Award. A renewable scholarship shall be awarded to an accounting student in the College of Business Administration who is an active member of the Accounting Association, works at least part time, is active in at least one other campus organization, maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better, and demonstrates financial need. The scholarship recipient shall be selected by the College of Business Administration Scholarship Committee in consultation with an adviser from the Accounting Association and members of the Schoeppner family.
