The Don and Jeri Dixon Scholarship in Accounting
The Don and Jeri Dixon Scholarship in Accounting was established by a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Dixon Jr. Don Dixon is a successful alumnus of the College of Business Administration Accounting program. The Dixons’ endowed scholarship is for the benefit of “new majority” accounting students. Don Dixon completed his education while employed and when he and Jeri were beginning a family. For this reason, they can appreciate the challenge faced by students and have offered their assistance. It is the Dixons’ request that recipients consider providing philanthropic support for accounting student scholarships when they have established careers.
Scholarship assistance is to be awarded to an outstanding student in the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy based on academic achievement and need. Selection of the recipient will be made by the department chair in the school with assistance from the Office of Student Financial Aid. The donor requests one annual recipient be elected to receive an award amount, up to the full cost of tuition, books, and fees. If additional funds are available, they are to be awarded in the same manner until all the award funds are expended.
