The Mary Morrison Varian Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Music

The Mary Morrison Varian Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Music was created in 1997 to recognize Mary’s lengthy involvement with The University of Akron as a student and as the wife of a faculty member. Of special note is her commitment to the Faculty Women’s Club and the Women’s Committee of The University of Akron. The earnings from this endowed fund will be used to provide scholarship assistance to an outstanding freshman planning to major in music. Preference will be given to a student studying voice.
