Kenneth Burkins Fahs Endowed Scholarship

Kenneth Fahs Burkins graduated from The University of Akron in 1975 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. He joined Akron Porcelain and Plastics Company in 1977 and currently serves as its vice president of sales and marketing. Ken has been actively involved with his alma mater as a past president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and its House Corporation, member of University Council, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Order of Omega, and his Senior Class Board. Ken is a charter member of the College of Business Administration Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies Advisory Board and past chair of the CBA Alumni Board. He also actively participates in the College’s Professor for a Day program. As a gift to her son and in recognition of his personal and professional success, Kenneth’s mother, Evelyn Fahs Burkins, established The Kenneth Fahs Burkins Endowed Scholarship. Awards are to be based equally on academic merit and financial need, and leadership in college and community activities. Selection is to be made by the College of Business Administration scholarship committee in concert with the Office of Financial Aid but reviewed by Ken Burkins or a designated family member before announced or presented.
