Bernard F. Zaucha Endowed Accounting Scholarship for Excellence

The Bernard F. Zaucha Endowed Accounting Scholarship for Excellence was established in 1997 by Mr. Bernard F. Zaucha, a former faculty member of The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration accounting department. Zaucha is an alumnus of the College of Business Administration with a BS in accounting in 1968 and an MBA in finance in 1971. Bernard F. Zaucha created this scholarship to thank the University for the fine education he received and in appreciation for his many years of teaching. The scholarship is to be awarded annually to a student enrolled in the College of Business Administration who is a graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School, with first preference given to accounting majors. Selection of the recipient will be made by the CBA Scholarship Committee, an accounting department member, and in consultation with the Zaucha family.
