The Lillian J. DeYoung Scholarship to Promote Nursing Excellence

The endowed Lillian J. DeYoung Scholarship to Promote Nursing Excellence was established with an initial gift by the Nursing Class of 1988 to honor Dr. Lillian J. DeYoung upon her retirement as dean. Dr. DeYoung served as the second dean of the College of Nursing, from 1975 to 1988. The scholarship provides assistance, tuition, and/or books to senior nursing students. Qualifying recipients must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of at least 3.40. Selection is by recommendation of the College of Nursing Student Affairs Committee to the dean.
