the Dean V. Ruth and Mr. William A. Gray Scholarship in Nursing
The Dean V. Ruth and Mr. William A. Gray Scholarship in Nursing was established in 1993 by Dr. V. Ruth and Mr. William A Gray. Dr. V. Ruth Gray was the fourth dean of the College of Nursing. As administrative leader of the College, Dr. Gray brought to her position the required compassion, creativity, and strong belief in nursing education. To address a major concern of the College (now the School of Nursing), the scholarship provides assistance to undergraduate or graduate nursing students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (exceptions will be made on an individual basis). Selection of recipients is based on merit and need as determined by the School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs Committee.
