The David M. Gausman Endowment

David M. Gausman graduated from The University of Akron in 1970 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He immediately went to work for Ohio Edison Company which later became FirstEnergy Corporation. Dave worked at several locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, specializing in power production. Dave established this endowment because of his appreciation for his engineering education and his conviction that education is key to a better life. It is the donor’s intention that this endowment will assist The College of Engineering in providing quality education to future students so they too can leverage their education to provide for better lives for themselves and others.

The David M. Gausman Endowment is to be used by the Dean of the College of Engineering for the greatest need of the College, including but not limited to, support for undergraduate and graduate student scholarships. This endowment may also be used for support for equipment, student and faculty travel, and student and faculty research.
