the Jay and Kelly Fischbein Endowed Scholarship
The Jay and Kelly Fischbein Endowed Scholarship was established in September 2017 by Jay and Kelly Fischbein to provide scholarship assistance to students at The University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Fischbein earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Taxation from The University of Akron in 1997. Both Jay and Kelly have spent the majority of their careers working for companies dedicated to improving and delivering healthcare to patients in the U.S. and around the world.
Jay and Kelly Fischbein have a passion in helping solve problems in areas of healthcare, human rights, animal rights and other important causes including ensuring higher education’s availability. This scholarship fund has been established to help those in financial need who share this passion and want to make a difference in this world.
The Jay and Kelly Fischbein Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to one or more students who are in great financial need, and desire public service careers in either a government or non-government organization. Scholarship recipients must have at least a 2.6 cumulative grade point average. The scholarship will be awarded annually by The University of Akron School of Law’s Scholarship Committee.
