the Patricia J. Oldham Endowed Scholarship

The Patricia J. Oldham Endowed Scholarship was established in 2018 by William M. Oldham in memory of his loving wife, Patricia (“Pat”) J. Oldham, who passed away in 2017. It is Mr. Oldham’s intent to fund the scholarship through a bequest at the time of his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Oldham both graduated from The University of Akron in 1964 with degrees in history and education, respectively. After graduation, Mrs. Oldham started her career as a teacher in the Akron Public Schools. Mr. Oldham went on to attend The University of Akron School of Law, from which he graduated in 1967.

As long-time supporters of The University of Akron and avid Zips sports fans, it is fitting that the Oldhams will continue their legacy of investing in future generations of UA students.

The Patricia J. Oldham Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarship assistance to deserving students enrolled in The LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education at The University of Akron.

The Patricia J. Oldham Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving student(s) in The LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education, and is to be used toward the cost of tuition and fees.

Candidates will be identified by the Office of Student Financial Aid, with the opportunity for selection to be made by members of the Oldham family.
