Frank Marcinkoski Scholarship

The Frank J. Marcinkoski Endowed Scholarship was established in 2019 by Annette Marcinkoski, (’55) in loving memory of her father, Frank J. Marcinkoski, (’33). Mr. Marcinkoski graduated from The University of Akron with a degree in electrical engineering and went on to work as an engineer for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where he served as head of the Goodyear Powerhouse.

Ms. Marcinkoski graduated from The University of Akron’s College of Education and went on to teach in the Flint, Michigan public schools. She later became Executive Director of the Flint Classroom Support Fund.

Ms. Marcinkoski established The Frank J. Marcinkoski Endowed Scholarship to honor her father’s legacy by supporting current and future generations of students pursuing careers in electrical engineering.

The Frank J. Marcinkoski Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to one or more student’s pursuing degrees in electrical engineering. Scholarship recipients will be selected by The University of Akron Scholarship Committee.
