Earl D. Morgoch Endowed Scholarship
The Earl D. Morgoch Endowed Scholarship was established through a gift from the estate of Agnes (Aggie) Morgoch in loving memory of her late husband, Earl. Aggie and Earl enjoyed 68 years of marriage prior to his passing.
Mr. Morgoch proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and later graduated from The University of Akron in 1949 with a bachelor’s degree in business. While a UA student, he joined the Lonestar Fraternity and remained active as an alumnus.
A visionary and business leader, Mr. Morgoch was the founder and owner, along with Aggie, of Morgoch Lincoln Mercury in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. During his long and distinguished career, he was president of the Akron Automobile Dealers Association and an officer of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association.
Mrs. Morgoch wanted to continue her late husband’s legacy by providing financial support to students who are pursuing a business degree.
The Earl D. Morgoch Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually, as funds are available, to deserving students enrolled at The University of Akron College of Business Administration. Recipients will be selected by the University Scholarship Committee.
