Frisch Family Scholarship

The Frisch Family Scholarship was established in 2019 by University of Akron alumnus Dr. Kurt C. Frisch, Jr. and The Dr. Kurt C. and Sally S. Frisch Charitable Family Foundation.
The Dr. Kurt C. and Sally S. Frisch Charitable Family Foundation was established in 1999 just before the passing of Dr. Kurt C. Frisch, a professor of Polymer and Chemical Engineering and founder of the world-renowned Polymer Institute, later known as Polymer Technologies at the University of Detroit – Mercy.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to University of Akron College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering graduate students. First consideration will be given to citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Additional consideration will be given to doctoral students with a focus in Polymer Synthesis. Selection of recipients will be made by the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering.
