Eugene McCarragher Endowed Scholarship

The Eugene McCarragher Endowed Scholarship was established in December 2021, by Dr. Timothy McCarragher, Ph.D., LISW-S. Dr. McCarragher has served as the Director of the School of Social Work
and Family Sciences since 2006, and currently serves as Acting Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences. This scholarship is dedicated to his father, Eugene McCarragher, honoring him for his tireless
work with the poor, homeless, and those in need.

The Eugene McCarragher Endowed Scholarship is available to any social work student, including pending majors, admitted majors, or graduate students. Scholarship candidates may be enrolled full-time or part
time and must have financial need. There is no minimum grade point average requirement, and the scholarship can be renewable provided the recipient continues to meet the above criteria and funds are available.

Recipients will be selected by School of Social Work and Family Sciences faculty and staff in whatever manner is deemed most efficient at the time funds are available. The School Director can also be involved in the selection process once the position is no longer held by Dr. Timothy McCarragher.
